She says"In my family, we talk things out, even if things get heated. That's how we work through problems. Why does he shut down every time?"
Same conversation. Two different meanings.
He says"Growing up, yelling meant things were getting out of control. I walk away because I don't want us to hurt each other."

Does this sound familiar?

Two cultures. Two families. Two very different ideas of what's "normal"

  • You keep having the same arguments, even though you've talked about them a hundred times
  • One of you wants to talk things through right away, while the other needs time and space
  • What feels normal to one of you feels disrespectful or hurtful to the other
  • You disagree about family involvement, money, or boundaries, and neither of you understands why it's such a big deal to the other
  • You love each other, but lately it feels harder to be on the same team

Underneath the disagreement, you're both reacting based on what you learned about love, respect, and conflict long before you met. Understanding what happens underneath those reactions can help you stop repeating the same argument in different ways.

Your 90-minute couples session

90 minutes to understand what's really happening between you

Together, we'll look at the patterns behind your disagreements, explore how your different backgrounds shape your reactions, and identify practical ways to communicate with more understanding and less frustration. Nobody has to prove whose way is right. My goal is to create space for both of you to be heard, without blame or taking sides.

See your communication patterns in action

Through a few guided exercises, we'll explore how you communicate, respond to disagreements, and react when you don't feel understood.

Understand what's behind your recurring conflicts

We'll connect the dots between your backgrounds, emotional reactions, and the misunderstandings that keep pulling you into the same arguments.

I know what it's like to build a relationship far from home

I moved to a new country, went through a divorce, and eventually found love again. My husband and I have been together for seven years, and I know firsthand how challenging it can be to build a relationship when the expectations you grew up with don't always fit the life you're creating together.

After 15 years of leading projects in large companies, I changed careers to work with couples. Today, I help partners understand the patterns that keep them stuck, navigate their differences, and build a relationship that feels right for both of them.

My approach combines professional training, practical experience, and a deep understanding of what it means to build a life together across cultures.

From my practice

What changes when couples see their pattern

A forgotten promise
"Before, that evening would have ended with a slammed door and days of cold silence"

He forgot an important family arrangement. This time they needed about twenty minutes to talk it through without getting personal. By dinner they were laughing together in the kitchen.

The one who always reached out
"If I stop doing everything, there'll be nothing left between us"

For years she felt she was the only one keeping the relationship going. A few weeks into our work, her husband asked on his own: "Shall we go out for dinner? Just you and me."
